Advanced CA Gen development (3 days)


This course is targeted at experienced developers who want to know about how to use Gen more effectively and some of the more ‘advanced’ features of Gen.  The first part of the course explains techniques in each stage of a project lifecycle that can be used to influence the performance of the resulting application.  Other topics include how to develop batch or asynchronous processing, use of incremental subsetting and use of COM/ ActiveX, .NET and Java proxies. The course finished by exploring how to deploy the Java proxies as web services.

The course is based on Gen 7.6 and includes a number of practical exercises.

This course is aimed at developers who have in the region of 2 – 4 years project experience and are looking to expand their knowledge beyond that of writing action diagrams and to include taking a more proactive view at influencing the performance of an application.
