Oracle Service Bus Designer/Developer (VAC118) (Contract) Location: Worthing Salary: Negotiable Duration: Initially 3 months Overview: Our client is looking for an experienced SOA designer and developer who is self motivated and able to take responsibility for work in all areas of the lifecycle from impacting, to design, build test and implementation of Oracle Service Bus and associated packages. The successful applicant will be comfortable working within or leading a development team and have experience of the full development lifecycle, including packaging and implementation of the code. An expert in their field they will be recognised as a decision maker in terms of design and development. Good communications and people skills are essential. Skills Required: Service Oriented Architecture Oracle Service Bus 3.xx Java J2EE, UML, JPD, .NET, UML, SQL PLSQL WebLogic Integration Server 9.2 – 10.xx Struts, SPRing, Hibernate, Ant, JUnit, iBatis Java EJB & JMSSOA XML/XSL (XQueries/XPath, XSLT) JSP/Servlets, ASP Web Services SOAP UI Rational Toolset (Clearcase, Rational Rose etc) Oracle DBMS Windows 9x/2000/NT/XP, Linux, UNIX, HP-UX, Solaris. Responsibilities: • Impacting – production of impacts and the validation and review of impacts produced by others • System analysis and design based on the business requirements. • Responsible for the design activities of the team, leading and organising design workshops, production of design specifications and review of specifications produced by others • Carrying out development of OSB components according to agreed delivery standards. • Follow SOA principles for the implementation, design and development of components. • UML modelling (Class Diagram, Sequence Diagram, Component Diagram etc) using EA modelling tool • Oversee configuration management on behalf of development area and liaise with Configuration Management regarding releases. • Management and control of risks and issues, escalating in a timely manner, when required.
